Crank is installed!

I installed the crank this evening. I'll check the end play on the pinion shaft tomorrow after work. It's supposed to be about .003". I used a tool a buddy of mine welded up for me; it's a 1/2" nut welded onto a 7/8" nut. The 7/8" threads onto the shaft, then a 1/2" all-thread rod is installed. A pipe with a cap welded on is installed over this, and then another 1/2" nut is threaded on. As you turn the top nut, the shaft is pulled into the case half.









I also installed a new cam bearing, as viewed from the inside surface of the right case half:
